Article tagging

[edit]

How do articles show up at Wikipedia:WikiProject Olympics/New articles that have not been tagged with {{WikiProject Olympics}}? Asking in regard to Oscar Goodman (basketball). His article is tagged with {{WikiProject Basketball}} due to his extensive play in FIBA tournaments.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 12:49, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Read the first line of the "new articles" page and follow the link. You will find that it uses rules that predict the likelihood of an article belonging to a project. Schwede66 18:35, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
User:Schwede66, the list does not list include basketball or FIBA competition. So I don't understand how it works.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:13, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don’t understand the details either. But I know that there are always articles included that should not be there. It’s just the way it is. Schwede66 06:26, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Got it.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 07:00, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
