Paragraph Sounds Too Emotive

[edit]

Upon reading this article, the paragraph under Accounting Practices beginning with "In 1999, Enron initiated [...]," sounds as if written by a student arguing a point rather than being general/informative. Is there something we should/could do regarding this? Thanks. Tjsmith0194 (talk) 03:58, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Enron back from the dead?

[edit]

Various crypto-adjacent news sources (which I am unsure of the viability of) are claiming that Enron is coming back. The most reliable, non-crypto news source I can find is a humor column in The Houston Chronicle, which claims "The smartypantses on Reddit’s r/wallstreetbets floated a semi-serious theory: “Enron,” they cracked, would be a great name for a new cryptocurrency." Can anyone more experienced in cryptocurrency sources claim the validity of this? wizzito | say hello! 18:08, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

New source from New York magazine claims it is a joke: https://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/who-is-behind-enron-reboot-its-the-birds-arent-real-guys.html wizzito | say hello! 18:39, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Plenty of RS reporting on this now, but I'm unsure if this deserves a mention here, or possibly at Birds Aren't Real (which seems to be by the same people as the Enron resurrection) wizzito | say hello! 21:40, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
